Fred
and Penny Cera In Montana

In 1998, we moved to Montana into this cabin. Our house had sold and we had to live here until our renters moved out and we could start our remodeling project on the house. But we found it quite comfortable really and it gave us a chance to make some arrangements for the remodeling job
From the picture below you can see that we were really quite comfortable in our little cabin. I had my computer and Fred had a kitchen for his snacks. And of course Kacey our dog had her rug.

Kacey was very tired from her 5 trips from
Northern California making this move to Montana
The most spectacular thing about this property is the view from the back yard. Sitting in the house you can watch the river flow. The wild life is wonderful. We have deer, elk, and moose that visit our area. The other day I saw a bald eagle fly the path of the river looking for his meal. Here are pictures of the view from our backyard in different seasons.

Also since we have moved into the
cabin we have acquired another friend.
She is a little bird that roosts every night
in the top eaves of our cabin. She is an American Dipper that
we see every day in the icy water diving for food. But at night
she likes the warmth that seeps through the walls of our cabin.
We call her Blinky for when you put the flash light on her she
blinks her eyes to tell us to turn off the light. But that is
really how she communicates over the waters noise.

When Spring came Blinky moved her home and built a new one on the log of the house so that she could have a warm place to raise her babies. The time and care she takes to build this house shows she will really care for the little ones.

Many of you know me as Bearlady. Well I used to be a teacher before I retired and I received that name because of all the Bears the students have given me over the years. I also have kept my last years class home page up. This was done my the children and they worked so hard on it that I did not have the heart to take it down.
