Cera's
Remodeling Project
Here
is our before and after pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
Please notice the background picture of the Fisherman and his
dog. This was taken right outside the back door of our cabin.
View of house
before taken this winter
and the new look this fall. Notice we changed the color to a caramel
color with hunter green trim. It really makes it look larger.
We also added the larger garage between the cabin and the house.

Then below we
have our first snow storm in the new house
This is the view
of the front porch and deck as it looks over the river. It will
be wonderful to sit on the deck in the summer for a barbecue.
View of house
from the back before and after. You will see the gazebo that we
added on the west end that houses our new hot tub.

Kitchen and living
room with wall hiding the view of the river. We have taken out
the wall and added a pole for the post and a new beam in the ceiling.
I then added an island stove so as I cook I can watch the view.
We also have taken out all the paneling and added drywall to brighten
up the room.
This is the view
we have when we sit in our living room. This is truly a dream
come true.
Kitchen: Notice
that we have all new cabinets. This has opened up the kitchen
and really given it a lot of light. You can also notice the logs
that have been chinked. Before they were filled in with rope and
did not really do a good job of sealing. The old cabinets have
been put in the basement in the Great Room and Laundry Room.

Guest Bath
This is the Old View
Tub in My Bath Before Restored

Guest Bath New
View.
We have added
cabinets and restored the tub. It is now painted a beautiful green.
The cabinets are to the left of the tub as you walk into the room.
We have also restored a 1940 toilet that is not showing, but it
sure adds character to the room.
View of Window
in Bedroom. We have taken down the ugly drapes and added new French
doors. They have really brightened up the room.

Also the view
of the river as you wake up for the day is wonderful. Sometimes
you might even be greeted by the local wildlife.
Basement:
This is what
it looked like before.
We have turned
it into a Great Room with room for a fireplace. Our exercise equipment
or just a place to get away. You can walk out to the creek through
the south on the south side and mingle with the wildlife.

The other side
of the basement has been turned into a large laundry room with
the cabinets from the old kitchen to form a wonderful storage
and folding area. The cabinets are on the opposite side of the
room and gives me plenty of room to do my sewing crafts or whatever
else my hearts desires. This room almost makes laundry fun.
So then after
a wonderful day in our new home we can sit back and watch the
sun set. What a wonderful end to a perfect day.
Thanks for visiting
out remodeling project and now I would appreciate it if you would
go back to the main page and sign our guest book so that I know
